Mark Christensen (b. July 1, 1962) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral, representing District 44. He was first elected to the chamber in 2006, and currently serves as an Executive Board Member.

Biography

Christensen earned his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1984. His professional experience includes working as a commodities trader, rancher and secretary.[1]

Endorsement

On September 21, 2011, Senator Deb Fischer announced that Christensen was one of 13 members of the Nebraska Unicameral that endorsed her candidacy for the U.S. Senate.[2]

Christensen came in first in the May 11, 2010 primary, besting Thomas Baker by a margin of 4,615-2,818. Christensen defeated Baker in the November 2, 2010 general election.[3]
