Evans was running in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 1. Evans initially filed but no longer appears on the list of primary candidates.[1][2] His name was withdrawn after an anonymous party filed a challenge that he had not met the seven year residency requirements. The Secretary of State upheld the challenge and his name was removed from the ballot. Evans has publicly promised to run again in 2 years for the same seat.
