Mark Schlakman was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Florida.[1] Schlakman was defeated by Alfred Lawson in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.[2]

Career

Schlakman is an attorney and senior program director for the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights at Florida State University.[3]

Schlakman ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Florida's 2nd District. Schlakman sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket.[4] The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was June 8, 2012. The primary elections were held on August 14, 2012. Schlakman was defeated by Alfred Lawson in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.[2]
