Mark Schoesler is a Republican member of the Washington State Senate, representing District 9. He was first elected to the chamber in 2004. Beginning in 2013, Schoesler serves as the Republican Leader in the Majority Caucus Coalition led by Democrat Rodney Tom.

Schoesler was the Minority Floor Leader from 2007 to 2012. In 2006 he was the Republican Whip in the senate. Previously, Schoesler served the Washington State House of Representatives from 1993 to 2002. He was the Republican Whip there from 1999 to 2001.[1]

Biography

Schoesler earned his AAS in Agribusiness from Spokane Community College. Schoesler has been a farmer of wheat, canola, and cattle since 1981. He worked for Federal Crop Insurance Corporation from 1977 to 1980. During this time he also worked for Schoesler Farm Incorporated.[2]
