Martin Malave Dilan is a Democratic member of the New York State Senate, representing District 18. He was first elected to the chamber in 2003. Dilan is currently serving as Assistant Minority Leader. He previously served as Senior Assistant Majority Leader.

Biography

Dilan was in the Special Baccalaureate Degree Program at Brooklyn College. His professional experience includes being a member/Former Chair of Community School Board #32, as a a Councilmember of the New York City Council from 1992 to 2001, as a delegate at the Democratic National Convention in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004, and also serving as Democratic State Committeeman for the 54th Assembly District and Democratic District Leader.
