Mental health

In the 2013 session, which saw a group of bills relating to mental health treatment early on, Caferro sponsored Senate Bill 11, calling for changes to Nebraska's parole and probation systems to rehabilitate mentally ill offenders. Social worker and bill proponent John Wilkinson told the Missoulian that mentally ill parolees would be required to comply with supervised treatment programs.[1] The bill passed the Senate 47-2 on February 7, with the House voting in favor 91-9 on March 25; it was signed into law on April 15, 2013.[2]
