Mary Mascher (b. September 22, 1952) is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 86 since 2013 and currently serving as an Assistant Minority Leader. She previously represented District 77 from 1995 to 2013.

Mascher has been a Teacher in Iowa City Community Schools since 1976. She served as Chair of the Johnson County Democratic Party from 1986-1988.

She is a member of the Iowa State Education Association, National Education Association, Democratic Activist Woman's Network, Iowa State Sesquicentennial Commission, and the National Council of State Legislators.[1]

Mascher ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 86. Mascher ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. No Republican candidates filed in the district. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Mascher won re-election to the 77th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. She was also unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[4]
