Washington is currently the Associate Director of Great Parks, Clean Streams and Green Communities, Parks and People Foundation. She has served in this capacity since 2006. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Lehigh University from 1995-2000.
Washington graduated from Antioch University in 1989 with a B.A. in Human Services. She graduated from The John Hopkins University in 1992 with her Ph.D. in Sociology in 1997.
