The Maryland English Same-Sex Marriage referendum may appear on the November 2012 ballot in the state of Maryland as a veto referendum. The measure would be in response to the Maryland Legislature and the possible law that could be passed in session that would make same-sex marriage legal in the state. The legislation would essentially remove a state law that recognizes marriage as only between one woman and one man in the state.
