The Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance acts as the head of the Division of Insurance, which is part of the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation (OCABR).

The Division of Insurance is responsible for regulation of the insurance industry and protection of consumers.[1]

The current officeholder is Joseph Murphy. He assumed office in February 2010.
