The Massachusetts secretary of state election will take place on November 4, 2014. Incumbent William F. Galvin (D) was first elected in 1994 and is eligible to seek re-election in 2014.

Massachusetts is one of 21 states with a mixed primary system. Unaffiliated voters are allowed to vote in the primary election. They may choose which party ballot they wish to vote on and still remain unaffiliated.[1]

Note: The following list of candidates is not official and will continue to be updated until the 2014 candidate filing deadline. Candidates will be added as we come across them prior to the deadline.
