Matt Hatchett is a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives representing District 150. He has represented the district, previously District 143, since 2011.

Hatchett owns several small businesses, including Hangers Cleaners, Bruster's Real Ice Cream, Nathan's Famous Hotdogs and Plum Alley, a women's specialty apparel store. He served as mayor pro tempore of Dublin and has sat on the Dublin City Council since 1999. Hatchett has chaired the Heart of GEorgia United Way, the Boys and Girls Club of Laurens County and several other community organizations. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Presbyterian College. Hatchett and his wife have two daughters.

Hatchett ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 150. Hatchett ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Sheikh Rahman ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [2] Hatchett defeated Sheikh Rahman in the general election.[3]
