Matt Windschitl (b. December 30, 1983) is a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 56th District since 2007. He is an Assistant Minority Leader.

Windschitl has been a Gunsmith with Double Barrel Shooters Supply, Conductor on the Union Pacific Railroad, and a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Iraq.[1]

Windschitl is running for re-election to the 56th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He was also unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 2, 2010.


On November 4, 2008, Windschitl was re-elected to the 56th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Jan Creasman (D). [2] Windschitl raised $45,297 for his campaign, while Creasman raised $8,120. [3]
