Matt Wingard is a former Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He represented District 26 from 2009-2013.

Prior to his current position, he served as Committee Administrator for Representative Jerry Krummel in 2001. He was Field Representative for the Office of Congressman Doc Hastings, and campaign manager for Congressman Hastings in 2000.

Wingard is founder/consultant of Public Relations Firm since 2002. He is also a television reporter for KIMA-TV.

Wingard has one child, Hunter. [1]

Wingard ran for re-election in 2012. He ran unopposed in the May 15, 2012 Republican primary and was set to face Wynne Wakkila (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

However, Wingard withdrew from the race in June after being accused of sexual misconduct by a former aide. He was replaced on the ballot by John Davis.[4]

Wingard won re-election to the 26th District Seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was challenged by Sandy Webb in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[5]
