Matthew Moonen is a Democratic representative-elect of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 118 since 2012. [1][2] He holds a Bachelor's in political science and international studies from Northwestern University.[3]

Moonen won election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 118. Moonen defeated Dillon Bates in the June 12 Democratic primary and defeated Kevin Casey (R) and Thomas MacMillan (G) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
