Melany Barnes was a Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 95th district. She has served since replacing Tom Sawyer in the Fall of 2009.

Barnes lost her bid for re-election to the 95th District seat against Benny L. Boman (R). Barnes had no opposition in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[1]
