|“||Shall Merritt Township levy up to 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) above the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution, and levy it for five (5) years, December 1, 2013 through December 1, 2017 inclusive, for the purpose of raising revenues for the maintenance and improvements of public roads in Merritt Township, raising an estimated $78,700.00 in the first year the millage is levied? If approved, this proposal constitutes a renewal of the previously voted millage within Merritt Township which will otherwise expire on December 1, 2012.
