Michael Carey is a Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 72 since 2008. Carey ran in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 72.

Carey earned his B.A. in History from Dartmouth College.

He is a member of the Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity Board, and Chair of the Task Force Considering Redevelopment Options for Bates Mill Building Number 5, City of Lewiston.[1]

Carey won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 72. Carey ran unopposed in the June 12 Democratic primary and defeated Michael Marcotte (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
