Carr is a self-employed internet marketing consultant. He left Edelman Public Relations in 2007 to start Aspirant Marketing, Inc.[1]

Carr ran in the 2012 election for Colorado State Senate District 31. He was defeated by incumbent Pat Steadman (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
