Michael Dendekker is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 34 since 2009. Dendekker's other political experiences also include facilities manager for New York City Council; special projects coordinator for Ready New York Campaign; public information officer and joint information center for Mayor's Office of Emergency Management; and part-time district representative, New York Assemblywoman Margaret Markey.

Dendekker's professional experiences include actor; community board member; chair of Neighborhood Advisory Board; deputy chief for Jackson Heights-Elmhurst Volunteer Ambulance Corps; supervisor; account representative; banquet manager; shoe salesman; and paperboy.

Dendekker attended for automotive technology the State University of New York at Farmingdale. He and his wife, Angela, have 4 children; Michael, Linda, Elizabeth, and Jason.[1]
