Michael G. Dendekker is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 34. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Dendekker's other political experience includes facilities manager for New York City Council; special projects coordinator for Ready New York Campaign; public information officer and joint information center for Mayor's Office of Emergency Management; and part-time district representative, New York Assemblywoman Margaret Markey.


Dendekker attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale for automotive technology. [1] His professional experience includes working as an actor, serving as a community board member, being the chair of the Neighborhood Advisory Board, serving as deputy chief for Jackson Heights-Elmhurst Volunteer Ambulance Corps, working as an account representative, a banquet manager, a shoe salesman and a paperboy.
