Michael Fedele (born March 30, 1955 in Minturno, Italy) is an Italian-American Republican politician and the current Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. Fedele, who was sworn in on January 3, 2007, is the 107th Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut.

Fedele is thought to be interested in running for Governor of Connecticut in the 2010 gubernatorial election. Incumbent Mary Jodi Rell has said that she will support him over other Republicans, should he run.[1]

Life and career

Fedele represented Stamford's 147th District in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1992 until 2002. He ran unsuccessfully for the Connecticut Senate that year, losing narrowly to Democrat Andrew J. McDonald. He founded and operated the Pinnacle Group, an IT firm in Connecticut.

Fedele graduated from Fairfield University in 1980 and Norwalk State Technical College. Fedele is a native of Minturno, Italy. He has raised three children with his wife Carol.
