Michael Harden is a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 28th District since 2009.

Harden has worked as Campaign Coordinator with Charlie Norwood for Congress in 2002, Correctional Officer at Alto Prison, Surveillance officer with the Department of Juvenile Justice, and a farmer.

He is a member of the Eastanollee Volunteer Fire Department, Future Farmers of America, Georgia Cattlemen's Association, Georgia Right to Life, Level Grove Baptist Church, National Right to Life, National Rifle Association, and the Stephens County Republican Party (Chairman).[1]

Harden ran for re-election to the 28th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the July 20 primary. Harden defeated Christopher Irvin (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2]
