Michael Nelson (b. June 2, 1954) is a Democratic-Farmer Labor member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 40A since 2013. He previously represented District 46A from 2003 to 2013.

Nelson won re-election in the 2012 election for Minnesota House of Representatives District 35B. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 14 and defeated Kathy Lohmer in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
