Michael Nofs (born November 19, 1953) is a politician from Michigan. He is a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, representing the 19th District since 2009. Previously he was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 through 2008. Nofs was also chair of the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners from 1993-1995 and 2001-2002; and commissioner of the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners, 4th District from 1993-2002.

Nofs' professional experiences include post commander for Michigan State Police, Battle Creek; trooper with Michigan State Police, Battle Creek; deputy with Calhoun County Sheriff Department; police officer and patrolman with Marshall City Police Department; and cadet with the Battle Creek City Police Department.

Nofs earned his AAs in criminal justice from Kellogg Community College and his BA in management in human resources from Spring Arbor University.

Nofs has five children.[1]
