Farrell was unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary but lost to incumbent Republican Edwin Erickson in the November 2 general election.[1]

Campaign themes

Farrell's campaign website highlighted his three-step plan:[2]

  • "we will end the graft and grab culture in Harrisburg by taking control over legislative salaries away from the legislature. It never belonged there."
  • "We must also protect seniors on fixed income who are hard hit by rising property taxes without raising new taxes as my opponent plans."
  • "Finally, under my plan, we will coordinate sustained, comprehensive growth in jobs and our local economy while, at the same time providing a better education for our children."
