Michael Thompson (b. October 16, 1974) was a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 9.

Education

Thompson earned his BA in Political Science from the University of South Carolina in 1999.

Professional experience

Thompson worked for Am-Can Transportation as a Freight Salesman from 1999 to 2004. He currently works for as an Account Manager for Am-Can Transport Services.

Political experience

Thompson joined the South Carolina State House of Representatives in 2001 and served in that position until 2010, representing the 9th District.
