Zalewski is running for re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives in 2012. Due to redistricting, he is running in the 23rd District, while District 23 incumbent Daniel Burke is running in District 1. Zalewski was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, and is unopposed in the general election on November 6 as well.[2]
2010
Zalewski won re-election to the 21st District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He defeated Terrence Collins in the Democratic primary on February 2nd by a margin of 8,951 to 3,420. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
