Michelle Stennett is a Democratic member of the Idaho State Senate, representing District 25 since 2010. She currently serves as State Senate Minority Caucus Leader.

Stennett worked in flight operations for Horizon Air, a regional airline and Sun Valley Aviation, which services and maintains fixed-wing aircraft. She served as a substitute for her husband and former Senator for District 25, Clint Stennett, when he was stricken by brain cancer during the 2010 legislative session. During that time, she also served as her husband's primary caregiver. She was formally appointed to the seat on October 26, 2010 after Clint Stennett's death, and successfully won election to a full term that November.

Stennett won re-election in the 2012 election for Idaho State Senate District 26. Stennett ran unopposed in the May 15 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Stennett defeated Robert John Blakeley and David P. Maestas in the May 25 primary. She ran against Republican candidate, Jim Donoval, and Constitution candidate, Randall K. Patterson, in the general election on November 2, 2010, defeating him.[3]
