Michigan Casino License Amendment did not appear on the November 2, 2010 statewide ballot in Michigan as an initiated constitutional amendment. The proposed amendment called for allowing the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Board to issue state casino licenses to up to eight new casinos in Michigan. Five of the proposed casinos would have been located at horse racetracks that conducted "pari-mutuel wagering in 2009."[1]

The state of Michigan, at the time of the proposal, had a total of 23 casinos. According to officials Detroit's casinos saw revenue decline in 2009 for the first time since their existence.[2][3]
