Michigan voters reject constitutional convention but say yes to felon ban

LANSING, Michigan: Following the November 2 elections, some measures remain pending official voter counts but not in Michigan. Voters were clear when it came to Proposal 1 and Proposal 2.

Proposal 1, the measure that called for a constitutional convention was defeated on November 2 with a vote of 66.6% in opposition. On the other hand, Proposal 2, a question that called for extending a ban on the election of officials that had been convicted of a felony, was approved by voters by a resounding 74.9%.[1][2]
