Mike Kowall is a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, representing District 15 since January 1, 2011. Prior to his time in the Senate, Kowall served in the Michigan House of Representatives representing District 44 from 1998 to 2002.

Mike Kowall endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election. [1]



Kowall announced in July 2011 that he will run for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. The 11th District where Kowall plans to run is being vacated by Thaddeus McCotter who will be running for U.S. President. Kowall said the newly drawn redistricting map will bolster his campaign because his entire Senate district is contained within the 11th Congressional District.[2]
