Padden ran in the 2012 election for Washington State Senate District 4. Padden ran unopposed in the open primary on August 7, 2012. He won the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]


Padden defeated incumbent Jeff Baxter (R) to win election to the District 4 seat in a special election held on November 8, 2011.[2]
