Democrat Mike Simpson of Liberty Township served as state representative for the 65th District of the Michigan House of Representatives from 2006 until he died of a heart attack in December 2009.[1]

Rep. Simpson received his High School Diploma at Plymouth/Canton High School. After High School he attended college for some time. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army Reserve from 1980-1986.
