A Millington Township Fire Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Millington, which is in Tuscola County.

This measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.35 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further six years in order to continue to pay for fire department operational costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under article IX, section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Millington Township, of .3591 mills ($.3591 per $1000. of taxable value), be renewed at .3591 mills ($.3591 per $1000. of taxable value) and levied for (6) six years, 2013 through 2018 inclusive, for fire department operations including but not limited to, first responder services, fire equipment purchase and housing; raising an estimated $36,666 in the first year the millage is levied.[1][2]
