A Missouri Transportation Sales Tax Amendment may appear on a 2014 election ballot in the state of Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The measure would increase the state sales tax by one cent for the next ten years in order to fund state transportation needs. State Senators Mike Kehoe and Ryan McKenna introduced the proposal.[1]

Path to the ballot

Proposed amendments must be agreed to by a majority of the members of each chamber of the Missouri General Assembly.
