Romney is running for President of the United States in 2012.[1]


Romney formally announced his 2008 run for U.S. President on February 13, 2007 at the Henry Ford Museum outside of Detroit, Michigan.[2] Ultimately losing the Republican nomination to John McCain, Romney spent $110 million during his campaign, $45 million of which was his own money.[3]


Romney was elected as Governor of Massachusetts on November 5, 2002.

Romney and his wife, Ann, have five sons. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[3]
