Willard Mitt Romney (born March 12, 1947) is a 2012 Republican candidate for President of the United States. He served as Governor of Massachusetts from January 2, 2003 to January 4, 2007.

Romney is running for President of the United States in 2012.[1]

2008

Romney formally announced his 2008 run for U.S. President on February 13, 2007 at the Henry Ford Museum outside of Detroit, Michigan.[2] Ultimately losing the Republican nomination to John McCain, Romney spent $110 million during his campaign, $45 million of which was his own money.[3]

2002

Romney was elected as Governor of Massachusetts on November 5, 2002.

Romney and his wife, Ann, have five sons. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[3]
