A Montcalm Community College Levy Increase measure will be on the May 3, 2011 ballot in the Montcalm college district which is in Clinton County.

This measure seeks to increase the current school levy by a rate of $.27 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to help pay for operational costs in the district.[1]

Shall the currently authorized charter millage rate limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Montcalm Community College, Michigan, for operating purposes be increased by not more than .2708 mill ($0.2708 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) to be used for all purposes authorized by law; if approved, the estimate of the revenue the community college will collect in the first year of levy, 2011, is approximately $587,138?
