Nancy Calhoun (b. July 10, 1944) is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. She has represented District 96 since 1991. Calhoun is also a minority leader for the New York State Assembly and on the county committee for Orange City Republican Committee. Her other political experiences include supervisor for legislative commission on state-local relations for the Town of Blooming Grove; president of Orange County Supervisors and Mayors Association; councilwoman and assessors clerk for the Town of Blooming Grove; and a representative for the Hudson River Valley Greenway Council.

Calhoun's professional experience is as a tax collector for Washingtonville Central School District.

Calhoun attended in public administration and business administration at Empire State College. She and her husband, William Mulherin, have six children; Richard, Glenn, Kathy, Jill, Tracy, and Stephen.[1]

Calhoun ran unopposed in the September 14 Republican primary. After a close election, Calhoun defeated Roxanne Donnery (D) in the general election on November 2.[2] After all the absentee ballots were counted, Calhoun was declared the winner.[3] In addition to her slot on the Republican Party ticket, Calhoun was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Conservative Party.
