The National Tax Limitation Committee, or NTLC, was founded in 1975. According to its website, it is one of the longest standing and strategically oriented pro-taxpayer/entrepreneur organizations in America.
NTLC grew out of work which its Founder and President Lew Uhler did for then-Governor Ronald Reagan to constitutionally limit the growth of taxes and spending year-over-year in order to control the size of government. This work was largely accomplished through supporting a ballot measure, California Proposition 1 in 1973.
NTLC is registered as a 501(c)(4) political organization. The organization's 2006 tax return indicates that it had revenues in 2006 of about $671,000.
