Neal Foster is a Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 39th District. He was appointed in November 2009 to replace his father Richard Foster, who died of a heart attack.[1]

In the 2011-2012 legislative session, Foster has been appointed to the following committees:

  • Subcommittee on Court System
  • Subcommittee on Public Safety
  • Subcommittee on Transportation and Public Facilities

Foster won re-election to the 39th District Seat in 2010. He defeated Vincent T. Beans in the August 24 primary.[2] He then ran unopposed in the November 2 general election.[3]


Neal Foster did not run for election in 2008 but was instead appointed to replace Richard Foster in 2009.
