The Nebraska Legislative Research Division is a nonpartisan legislative service agency handling general research needs of the Nebraska Legislature.

Governance

The Legislative Research Division is monitored by Legislative Council[1].

History

The Legislative Research Division was formed in 1937[2].

Services offered

Legal research

The Legislative Research Division handles all requests for legislative research from legislators, committees, and their respective staffs. Also, they prepare all memos and reports related to research requests[3].

Library/Reference services

A legislative library is maintained by the Legislative Research Division. The library disseminates all information to legislative staff[3].

Performance Audit section
