The Nebraska attorney general election will take place on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Jon Bruning (R) was first elected in 2002 and is eligible to run for re-election.

Nebraska is one of 21 states with a mixed primary system. A blanket primary system is used for the nonpartisan legislature and some other statewide races while congressional primary elections are closed.[1]
