Neil Billington is a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 43 of the Michigan House of Representatives.

Billington worked at General Motors Truck and Bus for 28 years before retiring in July 1992. He served as Zone Shop Committee Leader and UAW Leader while at GM. Since retiring, he has been a landscaper, having started his own business while still at GM. He is also the owner of a Rochester Hills restaurant.

Billington graduated from Avondale High School, and attended Oakland University to satisfy GM management training requirements.[1][2]

Billington is running in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 43. He is running unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 7, 2012. Incumbent Gail Haines is running against Paul Greenawalt in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [3]

Billington was a Republican candidate for District 43 in the Michigan House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010 state legislative elections. Billington was defeated in the Republican primary on August 3, 2010.[4]

Billington is married to his high school sweetheart, Cherie; they have two daughters.[1][2]
