Neil Billington was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 43 of the Michigan House of Representatives.


Billington earned his Associate's Degree from Oakland University in 1973. His professional experience includes owning Bloomfield Suburban Landscaping and working as a manager at General Motors Truck and Bus, Shop Committee Leader and Zone Man for UAW and as a Builder for Pat Ray and Associates.[1][2]

Elections for the office of Michigan House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Dennis Ritter defeated Neil Billington and Robin McGregor in the Democratic primary. Jim Tedder defeated Jose Aliaga, Paul Greenawalt, Nate Knapper and Andrea Schroeder in the Republican primary. Tedder defeated Ritter in the general election.[3][4][5]

Billington ran in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 43. He ran unopposed in the August 7 Democratic primary and was defeated by incumbent Gail Haines (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6]
