Breslin was an associate for Garry, Cahill, and Edmunds from 1971 to 1973. He was then Partner for the following firms: Garry, Cahill, Edmunds, and Breslin from 1973 to 1980, Breslin, Breslin, and Breslin from 1980 to 1990, and Breslin and Breslin from 1990 to 1995. Breslin attended Vincentian Institute. He then earned his BS in Political Science from Fordham College in 1964. He went on to receive his JD from the University of Toledo in 1971.
