The Nevada Governor is the chief executive of the state of Nebraska, and commander-in-chief of the state military forces. The governor appoints department heads and members of boards and commissions. The governor has the power to the state legislature into session but cannot discuss business unrelated to the special session.

The current officeholder is Jim Gibbons.

Qualifications

The term of office of the governor of Nevada is four years and has a two term limit.

  • resident of Nevada for at least 2 years
