<p align="justify">''Located in the New England region of the Northeast United States, New Hampshire has 10 counties and 234 cities and towns. Bordered by Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Quebec and the Atlantic Ocean, New Hampshire was named after the southern English county of Hampshire. New Hampshire is a “Dillon Rule” state, meaning that the state retains all powers not specifically granted to municipalities. Even so, the legislature strongly favors local control, particularly with regard to land use regulations. Currently, New Hampshire has two members of the U.S. Senate, two Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives, 400 members of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and 24 members of the New Hampshire State Senate. As of September 2013, New Hampshire is one of 13 states that is under divided government and does not have state government trifecta.''</p></td></tr>

Welcome to New Hampshire on Ballotpedia!

Located in the New England region of the Northeast United States, New Hampshire has 10 counties and 234 cities and towns. As of September 2013, New Hampshire is one of 13 states that is under divided government and does not have state government trifecta.
