{{TOCnestright}}The '''New Mexico School Board Amendment''' appeared on the [[New Mexico 2008 ballot measures|November 4, 2008 ballot]] in [[New Mexico]].  It was one of five proposed [[constitutional amendment]]s the the [[New Mexico Constitution]] that were [[legislative referral|legislatively-referred]] to the ballot by the [[New Mexico State Legislature]].

The amendment increased the size of certain school boards to nine members and conduct the election by mail-in ballot or as otherwise provided by law.

Twelve state senators introduced Senate Joint Resolution 6 (SJR 6) which authorized placing the proposed amendment on the ballot.
